Free Resources

Free templates, checklists, and SOP packs for businesses planning software projects or tightening operations. No sign-up, no strings.

Resources Worth Having, No Strings Attached

Most “free resources” on the internet are lead magnets disguised as content. You hand over your email address and get a PDF that could have been a blog post, followed by six months of automated emails trying to convert you. We take a different approach. Everything on this page is genuinely free, genuinely useful, and requires no sign-up, no email address, and no commitment.

We publish these because we have seen what happens when businesses try to plan software projects, manage operations, or launch websites without structured tools. They reinvent the wheel, miss critical steps, and spend time on problems that already have good solutions. The SOP packs, checklists, and templates below are things we use internally and with clients — they represent how we actually work, not a simplified version packaged for marketing purposes.

These resources are designed to be used as-is or adapted to your specific situation. The SEO SOP pack reflects the procedures we follow for managing technical SEO and content audits. The operations SOP pack covers the processes we use for onboarding, incident response, and change management. The checklists and templates are the same ones we hand to clients during project planning to gather the information we need for effective scoping. If they are good enough for the projects we charge for, they are good enough to share.

We add new resources based on what businesses actually ask for. If there is a template, checklist, or procedure pack you wish existed, let us know. If enough people need it, we will build it and add it here — still free, still no strings.

What Is Available

SOP Packs

Standard operating procedures you can adopt or adapt for your own business. Each pack covers a specific area with step-by-step procedures, role assignments, and quality criteria.

  • SEO SOP Pack — standard operating procedures for managing technical SEO, content audits, and performance monitoring. Covers the recurring tasks that keep a site’s search performance healthy over time, not just the one-off setup.
  • Operations SOP Pack — procedures for common business operations including onboarding, incident response, and change management. The operational backbone that most growing businesses need but few take the time to formalise.

Checklists and Templates

Structured tools for specific tasks. Each one walks you through the steps in order so nothing gets missed.

  • Website Launch Checklist — everything to check before, during, and after launching a website. Technical, content, SEO, and operational checks in one list. Based on launches we have managed and the things that go wrong when steps are skipped.
  • Client Portal Requirements Template — a structured template for defining what your client portal needs before talking to a development team. Covers user roles, features, integrations, and priorities so your brief is comprehensive from the start.
  • Legacy System Audit Template — a framework for assessing whether a legacy system should be maintained, modernised, or replaced. The same assessment criteria we use when evaluating legacy systems for clients.

How Free Resources Connect to the Rest of the Site

These resources stand alone — you can use them without ever becoming a client. But they naturally connect to other parts of the site. If you work through the Client Portal Requirements Template and decide to build, the Planning Guides will help you scope the project. If the Legacy System Audit Template reveals a system that needs attention, the Legacy Systems section covers every approach from stabilisation to full replacement. If the Website Launch Checklist highlights gaps in your site, the Resources section has deeper assessments including the Website Health Guide and Growth Checklist.

For more explanatory content on the concepts these tools reference, the Knowledge Center provides plain-language explanations of client portals, custom software, and other system types.

Where to Start

If you are planning a new build, start with the Client Portal Requirements Template or the Website Launch Checklist — whichever matches your situation. If you are tightening operations, the SOP packs give you ready-to-use procedures you can adopt immediately or adapt to your processes. If you are evaluating a legacy system, the Legacy System Audit Template provides the structured framework for making that assessment.

We build the systems, integrations, and automation that replace manual work and disconnected tools. If something here resonated, we should talk.
