What This Integration Does

This integration posts Klaviyo activity into Slack so e-commerce marketing teams react to real-time campaign and flow performance from the same channel where they coordinate everything else. Campaign sends, flow trigger volumes, attributed revenue milestones, deliverability issues, and SMS engagement all post into the right channels with the right detail.

It is the integration for e-commerce brands where Klaviyo is the marketing engine and Slack is where the team lives during trading hours.

The Workflow

When a Klaviyo campaign sends, the integration posts a message in the marketing channel with the campaign name, segment, send size, and projected revenue based on historical send performance. Three hours after send, a threaded follow-up posts with actual open rate, click rate, and attributed revenue to date. Twenty-four hours later, the threaded message updates with the full first-day numbers.

A specific chain: a Black Friday weekend campaign sends at 06:00 on Friday. By 06:01 the team channel sees the send confirmation. By 09:00, attributed revenue is tracking 18 percent above the previous year’s same-day pace, and the integration posts a celebratory milestone alert when revenue crosses £50,000. At 14:00, the deliverability sensor flags that one Klaviyo flow is bouncing at twice the normal rate; the integration posts an alert in the “Email Ops” channel tagging the marketing lead and the developer so the flow can be paused before more emails send.

Flow performance posts too. When an abandoned-cart flow has triggered a thousand times in a rolling twenty-four hour window, that is a sign something on the site is causing checkout abandonment. The integration posts an alert linking to the flow and the relevant Shopify or Magento order funnel.

Before and After

Before, the marketing team checks Klaviyo dashboards manually, refreshes attribution reports, and only catches issues by chance. Revenue milestones get noticed at the end of the day rather than as they happen. Deliverability problems are spotted after the damage is done.

After, the team sees every send, every milestone, and every anomaly in Slack the moment it happens. Reaction time is minutes, not hours.

Who Needs This

E-commerce brands running Klaviyo as their marketing engine (fashion, beauty, lifestyle, supplements, food and drink) with Slack as the team workspace. The integration is most valuable for brands running peak-trading periods like Black Friday or post-Christmas sales where missing a six-hour deliverability problem can cost real revenue.

How We Build This

We build this against the Klaviyo Reporting and Metrics APIs and the Slack Web API. Campaign send events trigger immediate posts; metric thresholds (attributed revenue, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate) trigger alerts. Slack messages use Block Kit for structured formatting and link directly back to Klaviyo reports. See Klaviyo API Integration and Slack API Integration for the underlying capabilities.

Get Klaviyo and Slack Connected

If your e-commerce team coordinates in Slack and runs marketing in Klaviyo, we can build a custom integration that gets the right signals into the right channels in real time.
