What Digital Invoicing Does

Digital Invoicing turns tracked time and project data into accurate invoices without manual data entry or reconciliation. Invoices are generated from the same system where work is logged, so the numbers match reality without anyone needing to cross-reference spreadsheets.

Every invoice is accessible in the Dashboard alongside the project and time data that produced it. Clients see what they are being billed for, tied to the work that was actually delivered.

Who It Is For

Digital Invoicing is for Digital Royalty clients who want transparent billing tied directly to project delivery. It is used by account managers generating invoices from logged time, finance teams reconciling payments, and clients reviewing what they have been billed for alongside the work that was done.

How It Works

Invoices are generated from billable time logged against projects. The system pulls time entries, applies rates, and produces a structured invoice that reflects the actual work delivered during a billing period.

Each invoice includes a breakdown by project and task, so clients can see exactly where their investment went. Line items are not vague descriptions — they reference specific work that was tracked and completed.

Invoices are stored in the Dashboard and linked to the billing portal, where clients can view payment history, download invoices, and manage payment methods through Stripe’s secure payment infrastructure.

For retainer clients, invoicing follows the retainer billing cycle automatically. For project engagements, invoices can be tied to milestones or generated at defined intervals.

Payment tracking shows invoice status — sent, viewed, paid, or overdue — so both sides have visibility without needing to chase updates.

Digital Invoicing is included in the Client Dashboard at no additional cost. Stripe charges standard payment processing fees on transactions.
