What Sprint Management Does
Sprint Management gives you structured development cycles with real visibility into what is planned, what is in progress, and what has been delivered. Sprints are not just task lists — they are connected to time tracking, estimates, and reporting so every cycle produces actionable data about velocity and capacity.
The goal is straightforward: know what is being worked on this sprint, know how it compares to what was planned, and use that information to make the next sprint better.
Who It Is For
Sprint Management is for Digital Royalty clients on retainer engagements or multi-phase projects where work is delivered in structured cycles. Project managers use it to plan and review sprints, developers use it to track assigned tasks, and clients use it to see exactly what is being delivered each cycle.
How It Works
Sprints are created with a defined scope, start date, and end date. Tasks are assigned to sprints from the project backlog, each with an estimate of effort.
During the sprint, the Dashboard shows real-time progress — tasks move through stages as work progresses, and time logged against sprint tasks accumulates automatically. This gives a running comparison of planned effort versus actual effort without anyone needing to compile a status update.
At the end of each sprint, review data is available immediately: total planned versus delivered, velocity compared to previous sprints, and any tasks that rolled over. This data is not a snapshot — it builds a historical record that makes future sprint planning more accurate.
Sprints connect to the project timeline, so clients can see how individual sprint delivery rolls up into overall project progress.
Tasks that are not completed in a sprint can be carried forward to the next cycle with their context intact, preventing the information loss that happens when work falls between the cracks.
What Is Included
- Sprint planning — define scope, assign tasks, set effort estimates
- Real-time progress tracking — live view of task status and time logged per sprint
- Velocity reporting — planned versus actual effort, tracked across sprints
- Sprint review data — immediate post-sprint analysis without manual compilation
- Backlog management — prioritise and assign tasks from a central backlog
- Rollover handling — incomplete tasks carry forward with full context
Pricing
Sprint Management is included in the Client Dashboard at no additional cost.
How It Connects
Sprint Management is tightly integrated with Time Tracking for effort data, Estimates for scope planning, and Reporting for project health visibility. For a systems-level view, see the Sprint Management System.
