SOPs are linked to relevant projects and tasks, so when someone is working on a task that has an associated procedure, the SOP is accessible in context — not buried in a separate system they have to search.
Access control ensures SOPs are visible only to the team members who need them. Sensitive operational procedures can be restricted to specific roles while general processes are available to everyone.
For teams managing multiple SOPs, a central directory provides a searchable index of all procedures, categorised by function or department.
