What This Is
We build automated payment systems using Stripe’s API: recurring billing that runs without intervention, subscription lifecycle management that handles upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations, invoice generation tied to your project or service data, and webhook-driven reconciliation that keeps your application in sync with every payment event. The goal is a billing system where money moves correctly without anyone manually creating invoices or chasing payments.
This covers the full payment lifecycle: customer creation, payment method collection via Stripe’s hosted UI, subscription creation with tiered pricing, proration on plan changes, automatic retry on failed payments, dunning email sequences, and revenue recognition. Your application stays informed at every step through Stripe webhooks that trigger jobs in your system, updating account status, sending confirmations, and flagging failures for review.
We operate this architecture in production on our own platform. Our subscription system manages multiple product tiers with annual and monthly billing, loyalty-based discount progression, and automatic entitlement grants, all driven by Stripe webhooks processed through Laravel job queues. The system handles plan changes, payment failures, and cancellations without manual intervention, processing several hundred subscription events per month with zero reconciliation errors over the past year.
When You Need This
Payment automation is the right move when billing is consuming operational time that should go to delivering your service. If someone on your team manually creates invoices, chases overdue payments, reconciles bank statements against client records, or updates account statuses after payment, those are automation targets.
It also applies when you are launching a subscription product or SaaS offering and need billing infrastructure that scales from day one. Starting with manual invoicing and automating later creates technical debt and reconciliation problems that compound as you grow.
How We Work
We begin by mapping your billing model: what you charge, how often, what triggers a charge, and what happens when a payment fails. This covers one-time payments, recurring subscriptions, usage-based billing, or hybrid models. We define the Stripe Product and Price structures, subscription behaviour (trial periods, proration, billing anchors), and the webhook events your application needs to handle.
Every Stripe webhook is processed through a dedicated Laravel job with idempotency checks, retry logic, and failure alerting. When Stripe sends an invoice.payment_succeeded event, a job updates the customer’s account status, extends their access period, sends a receipt, and logs the transaction. When a payment fails, another job initiates your dunning process: retry scheduling, customer notification, and eventual access suspension if recovery fails.
We build the integration so your application is the source of truth for business logic, and Stripe is the source of truth for payment state. Your app tells Stripe what to charge and when. Stripe tells your app what actually happened. The webhook pipeline keeps both systems consistent, and every event is logged for audit and reconciliation.

Related Systems
Payment automation is the billing layer inside a subscription management system or client portal. The payment infrastructure handles money; the system handles access control, feature entitlements, and customer communication. The Stripe API Integration page covers the broader integration picture. For e-commerce contexts, see WooCommerce store automation for how we apply similar patterns in a WooCommerce environment.
