Digital Royalty is a software development company that builds custom systems for businesses and maintains its own product ecosystem. We are not an agency that farms out development. We are not a consultancy that writes reports. Every system we build — client projects and our own products — is designed, developed, and maintained by the same team, on a stack we know deeply.

The work here is varied in a way that most development roles are not. In a typical month, you might build a client portal for a professional services firm, extend the AI agent system in our Beacon product suite, integrate a third-party API into an existing client system, and fix a performance issue in a dashboard that handles thousands of daily interactions. The common thread is that everything you build gets used by real people in real businesses, and you are close enough to the outcome to see whether it works.

We are a small team, which means two things. First, your work has visible impact — there are no layers between you and the product. Second, you are expected to operate with a level of autonomy that larger companies do not offer at the same career stage. You will talk to clients directly, make architectural decisions, and own the systems you build. That level of responsibility is not for everyone, but for the right person it is the reason they stay.

We hire across backend development with Laravel, frontend work with React, Python engineering for automation and AI tooling, WordPress development beyond the basics, and technical project management for people who understand what they are managing. We are remote-first, UK-based, and work asynchronously by default.
